About Joseph Hale
Currently serving as the IT Coordinator for the Kentucky Department for Public Health Emergency Response and Preparedness Branch, he played a pivotal role during the COVID-19 response, holding the position of Director of Information Technology on the Command Staff. His collaboration with state leaders involved spearheading initiatives such as the establishment of the COVID-19 Call Center/Hotline, serving as a vital resource for the public and clinicians seeking information and updates.
Joseph's impactful work extends beyond the state level, as he collaborates with the CDC, hospitals, clinicians, and local health departments throughout Kentucky. Over a span of three years, he hosted the monthly COVID-19 Clinicians webinar, providing crucial updates on the status of the COVID-19 and Monkey Pox viruses, vaccines, lab reporting, and global variant tracking.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Joseph has been a prominent figure in the leadership of The Gate Church in Lexington for seven years, serving as Elder/Pastor and Board Member. As a dedicated family man, he is a husband and father, exemplifying leadership within his community. Joseph co-founded and sits on the board of Open Gate Community Outreach, a start-up 501c3 organization committed to offering education, counseling, and connections to resources for the community during times of need.
Among his proudest achievements is founding the "Boys to Men Mentoring Group," a transformative initiative that meets monthly to guide and counsel boys aged 12 and up. Through sponsorship, practical advice, workshops, and educational field trips, the group empowers young boys to develop into respectable men in today's society.
